Ronald Harrington has over a decade of property management experience and has spoken at the NAA Apartmentalize conference for the last 2 years. He holds a Master of Arts in Residential Property Management from Ball State University. He holds the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional and the Certified Apartment Manager credential from the NAAEI. 

He started his career in property management in 2014, when he moved to Sacramento, California as a leasing agent and moved up to an assistant manager. He was the 2015 Leasing Manager of the Year winner for Horizon Realty Advisors. In 2016, the company bought a community at the University of Notre Dame and he was promoted to Property Manager and moved back to Indiana.

While he was pursuing his master degree, Ronald worked as a graduate assistant to the Maplewood Mansion Learning Lab at Ball State. The goal of the learning lab was to host IU School of Medicine students who were doing their clerkships rotation in Muncie, IN. This was an effort between Ball State University and Indiana University. Students of the Residential Property Management program are able to get real life experiences prior to graduating.

Ronald has spent the last 5 years of his career traveling the country while working for The Sterling Group, Northland and 29th Street.

In his free time, Ronald shops apartment communities to gauge the current state of leasing. In 2023, he set a goal to complete 100 shops by the end of the year. He completed 101 shops with 88 different management companies across 13 states. He took this information and created the successful podcast Rooms with Ronald which is powered by the Multifamily Media Network. If he isn’t shopping apartment communities, you can find him volunteering with the National Apartment Association NextGen Committee. He has served on this committee since 2020 and the current chair of the committee.
